Humidity

Corrugated soaks moisture out of the air, which weakens the stacking strength of boxes.

When the Relative Humidity is 80, the loss of stacking strength is 32%.

This won't happen with one rainy day, but with constant high humidity you may want to take steps to protect the integrity of your packaging.

Other factors that affect stacking strength include:

storage time
the arrangement of cartons on a pallet
cartons hanging over the edge of a pallet
how many time the cartons are handled

Call your Paragon representative for tips on how to protect your packages in high humidity.
